I saw oasis in Lille in november 2002. There was no support act. They played in front of around 8000 people. I loved the concert. They played the usual set starting with hello, hindu times, hung in a bad place etc.. Liam was in top form, singing very well. Noel looked a bit down and didnt say much to the audience. When he wanted to play wonderwall acoustic, the audience sang along loud but noel said: "shut up, i dont get fucking paid to hear you sing". So he stopped wonderwall and played married with children acoustic. The rest of the gig was nice as well with born on a different cloud, acquiesce, my generation.. Brilliant gig from the best band in the world

First night of the N&C tour at Shepherd's Bush 2001 -

The Music were very, very good. I was a little bit scared that they could upstage Oasis. Ah, the naivity of the Oasis gig virgin... Oasis were unbelievable.

It was clear from Go Let It Out that Liam meant business. His voice was fantastic - he sang "Is it any wonder that princes and kiiiiiiiiiiiiiings" longer than the crowd did! - and was generally on top form. As they started Supersonic he introduced it as a new song. At the end he started ranting about his setlist being wrong. The Hindu Times then went down a storm, Hung In A Bad Place even better. I remember trying to start a chant of "Gem! Gem! Gem! Gem!" but my voice was long gone. The surprises were the set by Noel and Slide Away. Then of course the second encore of Roll With It. It's great seeing a gig when you don't know the set. I just hope Poole is this good.

Second night at Finsbury 2002 -

A good show by the band. I left feeling a bit underwhelmed. The band were good and Liam's voice was good. But the venue wasn't. It was full of wankers and the sound was dubious to say the least. A good day overall but I don't think I'll go to a huge gig like it again.

Second night at Nottingham 2002 -

The Bandits were fucking awful. I heckled a lot and they deserved it. Oasis were good. Noel was absolutely hilarious (you have to listen to the bootleg for all his chat) but Liam was pissed off and justifiably so - the sound was terrible. I left having seen a good gig but fearing for the future. Liam and Noel didn't look at each other all night.

Brighton 2002 -

Very disappointing. The band seemed bored, Liam only spoke to the audience once all night. Noel pulled out of Wonderwall (again) but didn't replace it with another song. It was clearly just a gig for the money. I still enjoyed myself - it was Oasis for fuck's sake! - but I'd seen a lot better from them.

Poole 2004 -

Best gig ever. The 2 new songs rocked and the band looked stronger than ever before.

(Perhaps a little wishful thinking on the Poole gig ;) Bring on Wednesday)
