I have a rare Oasis VHS video of 2 1994 concerts, I believe them to be 1st gens.

I need to convert them to DVD and then put the audio on to them from CD (the audio on the video is shocking).

The thing is that the music on the CD runs slightly faster than the VHS, and I'm assuming that the CD is the correct speed.

What's the best way of sorting this out?

Will

PS Eternal respect to anyone that can help me out here!

Tell us what "rare video" it is, you dont wanna spend a lot of time dubbing this item on a PC then author to DVD only for someone to tell you they have a better copy when you start trading it later.

For example I know a guy in the USA who puts Nirvana tapes onto DVD, he does a fine job of it, menu, chapters, titles the works. But I had Nirvana live Leeds 8th October 1990 in my VHS list as being direct from the filmers master, he insisted he had a better copy the filmers master straight onto DVD and he set to work on it, he did an ace job but the copy he got is at best second gen. I asked him where he got it and he says "from the filmer in the UK" WRONG! the guy that filmed it speaks good English but he's not English and only visited here with his band a few times and still lives in his home country many miles from the UK.

I know what you mean, these are both available as non-circulating 1st gens, and otherwise 1 is circulating as a 1st and the other a 2nd ;)

its forum and astoria 94, i think their 1st gens but could be wrong, i'm gonna get them put on dvd, and then try and do the sound on the macs at college, although im not in much of a rush as the masters out on some traders sites...

you might be able to use adobe audition.

if you can get your vhs on to your hard drive then you can split the video and the audio, which means you can switch the audio with some from another source.

i have split the audio but never tried to over dub, but it might be worth a try
