You can only use the proper studio records! My ranking:

1. What's the Story (Morning Glory)?
2. Definitely Maybe
3. Heathen Chemistry (closer to the top than bottom...LOVE this record!)
4. Standing On The Shoulder of Giants (toss up with Be Here Now)
5. Be Here Now

I am more fan of individual songs, but if I had to choose as cds I would choose them in this order. (Favourite to least favourite.)

1. (What is the Story) Morning Glory (because it contains Wonderwall)
2. Be Here Now (because five of my favourites are on this one)
3. Definitely Maybe
4. Heathen Chemistry
5. Standing on the Shoulder of Giants
6. The Masterplan

the masterplan is not classed as an album. It is a collection of b-sides.
Oasis only have 5 albums not 6

Yeah alot of people get mixed up with that. I am quite a bit of a prefectionist, and have all my CD's in alphabetical order, and then by date of release, but I have never put The Masterplan before any of the last 2, because it wasnt an album

It's a bastard when I buy a new CD especially beginning with A, because I have to move them all 1 slot to the right.

Anyway, for me:

Yeah Bery, I only need to do that with me DVD's tho, all me CD's sit on a shelf.

Its my bootleg cd's that are the problem, I have them all in big folders, and cause I got so many I keep em in date order. So I gotta move them loads when I get more in. And if you look at main site, I got shite loads :(

Not really pissed off cause I got alot of music coming, but just the organising heh

It's far easier to find things though.

When you read peoples bootleg lists and they are all over the place with funny names you don't know whether you have it or not it's a bit of a pain. I like how you have your lists organised by date. That's how I would do mine if I had more.

If you commit to organising from the beginning then you find it much easier when you get more.

(What's The Story) Morning Glory? - Just edges out DM as it's got more variety and Liam sounds better
Definitely Maybe - Just loses out to MG
SOTSOG - Great album with a couple of poor songs
Be Here Now - Great when you're pissed and I still like all of it
Heathen Chemistry - Is shit by Oasis standards

I think all of the albums have a all round sort of sound you can link all the songs to apart form Heathen Chemistry

DM - Rock N Roll
MG - Rock / Pop mix (not britney pop, but more appealing to the mainstream)
BHN - Long songs, high in treble with loads of guitar fills everywhere
SOTSOG - Cant describe it really, but there is one.
HC - More of a mixture, seems more of a compilation of good songs rather than a record.

Hey Aisha, I was ranking only proper albums as Masterplan is a compilation. In terms of that piece - you HAVE to love that - has some of their very best material. I can't wait for Masterplan II (that has to happen at some point).

The Oasis boys have Masterplan listed on their official website under title that says "This is the list of Oasis album releases.'

So I think that aisha and I were 100% correct in including Masterplan in our lists.

I think you're 100% reaching, regardless of the website. It was a release - as was Familiar to Millions - but was widely available prior in pieces (the singles) and not a studio or proper album. But I admire the tenacity!

I think the Oasis boys have the right to determine whether or not Masterplan is official album and they say IT IS! :D

Mine would be:

1: Definalty maybe (cause its just quality! don't think it has 1 poor song on!)
2: Morning Glory (just class! just pipped out by def maybe!)
3: Be Here Now (felt this album was too overhyped with every1 waiting for it and every1 into oasis at that point, was expecting another morning glory! but still got some quality tunes on!)
4: Heathen Chemistry (got some different tunes, different styles with gem, andy and liam writing the songs, born on a different cloud! wow!)
5: Standing On The Shoulders Of Giant's (still a good album but not as good as the rest!)

I think you're referring to the Oasis webmaster in place of the band...unless the new practice is to release records in small chunks over the course of years!

P.S. I still admire the tenacity!

fooking right columbia is amazing. What a song who cares how long it is just sit down listen to and admire the quaility

Oasis B-Sides are the best in the world! Just class there is all this extra music from the band. Most USA bands don't do much with the B-sides since there is no CD-Single market here. Singles went extinct when the 12" vinyl single went away in the 80's. (Tiny bit of a cassettee single market in the 90s but never carried through to the audio CD.
