Using Windows 2000 or Windows XP
1. Open My Computer
2. Click on Tools on the menubar, then on Folder Options
3. A dialog will appear, click on the View Tab
4. Then uncheck the box beside "Hide file extensions for known file types"
5. Hit Apply and OK.
Then your files will be displayed as Song1.mp3 in My Computer
or you can do the following
1. Click Start --> Run
2. Type cmd or command to get the DOS Prompt.
3. Navigate to the folder where the songs are stored
4. Type "rename *.doc *.mp3"
This will rename all files that are .doc to .mp3
