Happy Mondays, Clapham Common

Went to the Get loaded in the park festival on the weekend, the mondays were brilliant and id love to get hold of a bootleg of the gig.

I had visions of this gig being a total and utter car crash! Was it really good? Who played? I'd read that Gaz Whelan re-joined. By God but I was tempted to go to London for it but couldn't bring myself to pay an air fare. I saw the Mondays last show on these shores at the Witnness Festival just outside Dublin and it was truly tragic. It was the one where Shaun had wallaoped Rowetta on the ferry over and, for the first time most probably, Bez did not stand by his man. Good grief, it was a horrid gig. Strippers, some guy in a McDonalds t-shirt and mask attempting to dance like Bez, Shaun not having a notion of the words and everything else was on backing tracks. I have a load of photos from it if anyone wants to see 'em. Er, but if anyone has a boot of the Clapham gig I'd love to hear it. Docker, any chance of a mini-review?

Fucking brilliant gig, the whole day was fantastic it was like a massive outdoor rave and the mondays toped it off with an amazing set.

Shaun didnt move much just stood in the middle of the stage but bez has still got it. Also saw Bez's new band dominoe bones, they were quality.
