Hi who do you think will be englands next manager after erickson has departed.
cardifffemale
07-09-2004, 12:03
I think it will be McClaren he is being groomed into that position
anybody but that cunt! i'm that desperate for him to fuck off that i'd have hoddle back!
cardifffemale
07-09-2004, 12:07
come on you know your being stupid hoddle back in charge of england with his spoon bending friends with him in charge you will only go backwards as a football force
better then some cunt whos just bothered about getting his leg over all the time, then the team, at least hoddle had some tactical knowlegde! erickson is just waiting for the pay off!
cardifffemale
07-09-2004, 12:18
yes so he can spend it in the massage parlours in sweden but its the fa problem shouldnt have paid him so much for doing nothing at all to make english players play better at a tournement
they need more staff not just blow all the cash on 1 stupid twat (pardon the language but a sour point for me is the england team!) who thinks its good tactics taking gerrard off for carragher! christ!
cardifffemale
07-09-2004, 12:29
I reakon he shold have gone ages ago with david james and i think beckam should think about calling it a day not the same player since he left united i think england will miss scholes
whatever
07-09-2004, 12:32
I think it will be McClaren he is being groomed into that position
I agree here
He is being trained in but I doubt he will leave boro
any player who dosn't play well shoudln't play full stop! erickson has said he would never drop owen, beckham and gerrard! i think ferdinand (when hes back) or campbell captain cause they are talkers! they need people to shout at the players instead of kissing them and patting them on the back when they've played shite! u'd never see keane or tony adams doing that!
cardifffemale
07-09-2004, 12:37
i think cambell would be a good captain but like you said no ones place should be picked on name just on form and erickson should do that
think the only job mcclaren would leave for is england or man utd and i could see him doing a good job too but i honestly can't see him leaving boro for a few years anyway!
cardifffemale
07-09-2004, 12:45
I think you are right there but i could see him on current form in charge of england when you play wales in october
cardifffemale
07-09-2004, 13:54
and beckam is unlikely to play i have heard............. might have a chance now unless erickson makes some more of his crackhead subs while england are winning

just looking at this poll of who might be the next england manager.
one name missing who i could see getting the job again
terry venables
mmm venables! he did great at euro 96 but he ain't really don't anything!
if beckhams out (fingers crossed) sven should play wright phillips on the right! hes on some right form! fast bugger too! but sven will proberly cock it up somehow and make beckham play with an injury!
mark suffolk
07-09-2004, 14:52
venebles hasnt done anything, since euro 1996 i could just see him being given the job
yeah u could be right! they'll need some1 cheap if they are going to pay sven off! hes the manager whos had the best success with england for a good while anyway!
cardifffemale
07-09-2004, 15:14
That is true with the money i think venables done a good job he had the players playing for him erickson cant seem to get the players to preform get rid of him and bring in some one else

We need somebody will bottle and a voice! As said, they get a pat on the back despite putting in a disgraceful performance for their country! Should be an honour, a privelige! They abuse that honour! Sven is to particialy to blame!
yeah exactly mate! it winds me up how a player can be garantied a place just cause of his name! sven just dosn't want to cause trouble with the players, i reckon that beckham has got a lot to do with picking the team to be honest!
cardifffemale
07-09-2004, 19:38
so do i he was a good player but i think england have better give them a chance. owen on form should not be in the squad there are better finishers then him around alan smith is englands best striker on current form
smith and defoe should start tomoz, defoe and smithy are on fire at the mo, i think beckham only plays well when he gets heavily critisced! but thats no good at all we need him playing well every game! i think hes past it anyway!
cardifffemale
07-09-2004, 19:44
you have said that b4 to me and i agree with you past it now best years are behind him

07-09-2004, 19:48
Defoe and Smith would be a great choise up front! Think Owen and Beckham should be on the bench for a few games, maybe not even pick them, that should give them a kick up the arse! Might see them produce the kind of football they can produce.
it dosn't give beckham and owen anything to acheive tho if they are picked every game and theres players playing well week in week out and not getting a chance, it would do them the world of good to get dropped just to show them there not invincible! i would love to see defoe and smith play more for england as i think they are quality, defoe is just so quick!
Partizan Badger
07-09-2004, 20:03
I would rather see Shaun Wright Phillips on the right wing, someone who can take people on and excite the crowd! Beckham is only good at free kicks and he hasn't even had a good one of them in a good 6 months!
wright philips is looking good this season, hes just what england need on the right! some1 to run at players instead of whacking it 40 yards up field all the time!

He didn't doo too bad on his debut for England either, a goal within a few minutes of coming on! His father nearly exploded though!

They could all do with some of Wrighty's passion! Great character he is :)
hes hit a few good goals this season and the end of last! would love to see him playing more games for england! i was reading something the other day about him being rejected as a trainee for a club (can't remember which!) cause he was too small, bet there kicking themselves now!
Partizan Badger
07-09-2004, 20:17
He was released as an 18 year old by Nottingham Forest! Good move my friends!!!
didn't know it was forest! i know some1 who's a forest fan too so can give him a bit of grief! i take it ur a man city fan then?
Partizan Badger
07-09-2004, 20:25
No, I'm a Carlisle United fan! I do find Man City one of the more bearable teams in the Premiership but I don't have much interest in it really, I prefer proper football!
yeah mate i know what u mean sometimes! i prefer watching div 1 football then the premiership sometimes, sometimes go to elland road if i fancy a laugh tho!
Partizan Badger
07-09-2004, 20:31
I can't stand watching players like Pires and Christiano Ronaldo rolling around holding their knee or whatever when there has been no foul in site, just trying to cin the ref and get a fellow pro booked or sent off. That's not football! Too many cheats in the Premier league.
cardifffemale
07-09-2004, 20:31
most people go to elland road if they fancy a laugh
There some good football in the lower leauges i should no about it im welsh
As for defoe id play him alongside smith owen on the bench
always cheers me up when i go to watch leeds! made me laugh last season when i was in leeds the leeds united shop had a half price sale on all the time, anything to get funds! proberly still paying for bowyer and woodgates court trial!
as a man utd fan i have to admit ronaldo is a quality player but i hate the way he keeps diving around, there is no need for it, pires is the worst for it tho!
cardifffemale
07-09-2004, 20:39
thats what ronaldo will turn into all contenental players are like it but it is creeping into british football more and more twenty years ago you woulndt have had that shit going on
Partizan Badger
07-09-2004, 20:40
Ronaldo doesn't do it much at United to be fair (I would say Fergie has had a go at him about it!) it's when he gets with his cheating Purtugal team mates that he rolls futher than he runs!
cardifffemale
07-09-2004, 20:44
one thing to be fair with fergie is he is a scot and they dont put up with any shit from cheats i heard stracon slaging off the italians and portugal with there dirty tactics they dive more than the australian diveing team
I heard that pires was was takeing up diveing after his carear in football sure gold for them
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Poland (probable): Dudek, Mila, Rzasa, Zewlakow, Glowacki, Bak, Zienczuk, Krzynowek, Zurawski, Lewandowski, Rasiak.
England (probable): James, G Neville, A Cole, Terry, King, Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Bridge, Smith, Owen.
Referee: Stefano Farina (Italy).
defo not mate, but its all about money now is the top league footy! i hope fergie sorts ronaldo out cause he is a quality player apart from the diving! owens a cunt for diving too, but i'm not bothered if he does it for england :D
makes u laugh when heskey goes down tho, the bloke is built like a brick shit house!
Partizan Badger
07-09-2004, 20:46
I'd rather have Johnny Vegas in the nets than David James!
looks like battle of the clowns in goal tommorow then :D
cardifffemale
07-09-2004, 20:48
james will win that b4 it starts

The peno was not a peno even pennant was dazed when he got it.
Bent and Cole were super.
Just watch us tonight when we hammer the Swiss

whatever
08-09-2004, 10:11
yeah roy keane and duff are both fit
was tempted to put a bet on the england game tonight, but i didn't know any of the polish players to get the 1st goal!
whatever
08-09-2004, 12:29
do a double bet on Ireland and england to win
cardifffemale
08-09-2004, 12:32

08-09-2004, 13:50

HA HA and more chance of northen ireland scoring

cardifffemale
08-09-2004, 13:56
or england haveing a good preformance if coco the clown james plays on the form he has for england i can see a close match underestimate your oppositin at your peril
it says in the paper that the poles are targetting that clown in the goal! if i wasn't working tonight i'd honestly prefer to watch the rep ireland match instead! they have much more passion when they play!
cardifffemale
08-09-2004, 14:07
they are awesome ireland great team of players always there or there about every tournement
whatever
08-09-2004, 14:11
Thanks lads for your support to this little Island.
Over here the passion that goes into the national team is unreal.
When we get to big tournaments the fan base thats goes is unreal and the whole country closes down. During the 2002 world cup when Ireland played in the early games (7.30) shops etc wouldnt open until after the game and if we had a middle of the day game shops whould close till after the match. It is great.
cardifffemale
08-09-2004, 14:15
its like that with the rugby down here but the footie is takeing over and about time to over 60000 due down the stadiam tonight and that includes me
i found more enjoyment watching rep ireland in the world cup then england! you could tell the players were enjoying playing and not really under any pressure and just enjoying the tournament! the fans were quality too they was voted the best supporters i think!
whatever
08-09-2004, 14:19
every tournament we go to they are voted the best fans. The reason for this is cause we party if we win, lose or draw.
I think the reason the Irish team are not under as much pressure as the England team is because of all the big named players england have. England are expected to perform well. Ireland have big names but not as many so therfore there is not as much pressure
cardifffemale
08-09-2004, 14:21
thats true how much u reakon the england starting 11 are compared to scotlands wales and the both ireland sides
no offence to the rep of ireland but they haven't got the best players but i wish england had there team spirit as thats whats more important! england have a star player in each position (except the net :( ) but they can't play together! but like u said the irish just play to enjoy themselves, expectations are always going to be high in england and they are always going to get critisced!
whatever
08-09-2004, 14:31
I agree Ireland dont have the greatest players. We have 5. (2 Keanes, Duff, Given, Reid). but we dont need any more. As you said team spirit is what it is all about. I think the manager has a huge factor in that
duff is quality! he was amazing at the world cup! i'd never even heard of kerr before he was the rep manager too!
whatever
08-09-2004, 14:37
He was the manager of the irish youth teams and always got real far with them.
Before that he was the manager of St. Pats in Dublin. Won a few Leagues with them aswell
cardifffemale
08-09-2004, 14:38
i think roy keane sill retire after the next world cup that is a player who will be hard to replace
whatever
08-09-2004, 14:40
very hard to replace.
Greame Kavanagh(Cardiff City) played againt Cyprus in roy keanes role and was super but he is getting on a bit in age aswell
the irish did well without keane for the world cup tho! that matt holland is a decent player tho, not a keane! but could do a job
whatever
08-09-2004, 14:45
i dont like matt holland at all. he can have a great few games and then be terrible for a few. Keane & Zinedine Kilbane do the job in the middle well enough
cardifffemale
08-09-2004, 14:46

08-09-2004, 14:55

08-09-2004, 15:06

i think england will win erickson end will come when england lose to wales
i hope he dosn't last the week, i really hate the bloke! i think england might play well against wales tho, still lose at cardiff, but we should have rooney and ferdinand back then! hopefully beckham, james and owen might get injured :D
cardifffemale

England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson is pondering a selection gamble by dropping goalkeeper David James and playing Paul Robinson against Poland.
Eriksson appeared to confirm James would play in the World Cup qualifier, despite his mistake in the 2-2 draw against Austria on Saturday.
But BBC Sport understands Eriksson may yet pick Tottenham goalkeeper Robinson.
And Eriksson is also considering a change up front, with Jermain Defoe possibly replacing Alan Smith.
It would be a major departure for the normally cautious Eriksson, and a sign of the importance of avoiding defeat after the disappointing start in Vienna.
Speculation is mounting that the Swede will be given the sack if England do not win in Katowice.
But he said: "I've never been sacked. I don't know what it's like, but I always said it will happen sooner or later.
"The longer you stay in the job, the greater the chance of it happening, but I am not worried, absolutely not."
England's disappointing draw in Austria, where they lost a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2, only increased the pressure on the Swede.
It was the third time in the previous five competitive matches in which the side had failed to win after being ahead.
Eriksson admitted individual errors - such as David James allowing a shot from Austria's Andreas Ivanschitz go under his body - had played a part in the disappointing results.
It is important that the players are calm and do the job they can do
Sven-Goran Eriksson
But he added that fans had to accept that blunders would always be part of football.
"Football is about trying to do as few mistakes as possible. If one player makes a mistake then, as a manager, you can't kill him for that," he said.
"You must try and improve in practice and you have discussions. We are not perfect, unfortunately, and we will never be.
"Hopefully we will make less mistakes and get better and better for the next two years."
We need stability rather than a sacking. Let's all get behind the team and the coach
From Tony
Have your say on 606
And the England coach, who has never lost a qualifiying match, said the mood in the camp was good ahead of the match with an in-form Poland team who beat Northern Ireland 3-0 at the weekend.
"The players are not panicking, absolutely not. They are calm and confident," insisted Eriksson.
"They know that they played very good football for much of Saturday's game. It is good that people always expect England to win, but it is not always that easy.
"Maybe the pressure is now bigger outside, but I don't feel that. It is important that the players are calm and do the job they can do.
"I should be very surprised if we had one player who was afraid of losing. I hope not. Of course, they think that they can win and they have a lot of reasons to believe that."
way hey, robbo and defoe start for england! :)
whatever
08-09-2004, 20:36
robbo did well.
defoes goal was great.
2-2 all wales at the mo
yeah got the wales match on the radio, sounds a good match, hopefully sven will play robbo now if the lad had a good game! same with defoe!

09-09-2004, 07:32
the game was a good game apart from the ref who couldnt make a right des all night well done to all the england scotland and ireland
60000 down there cant wait till oct now got my tickets
i saw the highlights and it looked a good game too did the wales game! that ref was a bit strict tho! northen ireland can play when they want to! but i think the sending offs really spoiled the game!
i wouldn't go watch an england game if the tickets was paid for me! i watched the highlights of that game and its still the same shit, looks like we had more chances tho!
cardifffemale
09-09-2004, 07:53
