I've Got These Oasis Dvds Which I've Done A Trade For But Realised I Already Have Them Cause My Dates On Some Of Them Were Wrong So I Got Confused So If Anybody Wants Them For A Trade?

I am interested in the following 3 listed above. However my tiny collection only contains Glasto 2004, Glasto 1995 and Barrolands 2001 (10 years of n & c)

Also have 7 Coldplay DVDs if you like them, and loads of White Stripes audio lossless gigs.

Sounds GREAT! I am still working on a web page with the screenshots. I got the DVDs as a trade from the following trader:

The discs did not come with source info other than what is on his web site. I have watched them all though and none are sourced from low quality SVCD or VCD versions. The Gorge at George is a poor audience recording other wise all the rest of the gigs are either high quality pro-shots or a good quality audience recording.

A few questions:
1) Source:
Are you meaning the type of equipment it was recored and copied on? I know with my audio gigs it is like that, but with most of the DVD traders I have not seen proper scource listing except for a few gigs on sharingthegrove.com

2) Generation:
What are you considering 1st generation, low generation, and such? Is 1st gen a copy of the actual master? or is that just a digital copy of another digital that is still off the original cap.

Let me know if you have any other questions and I will do my best to answer. I hope to have the screenshots up soon, so I will keep you posted.

So if I understand this there is no such thing as a 1st or 2nd gen on a DTV? Also Once the 1st gen is created and it is traded are all subsiquent versions considered 2nd gen as long as they are copied digitally and no more analog conversion is done.

Sorry to be dense on this, but I just want to be careful not to mislabel my gigs.

no probs mate! hopefully someone else could let you have more info cause i just know the basics! but if ur unsure of the gen of ur dvds just put "unknown gen" and basically everytime you trade just try and get the gens of them in future!

DTV is the best possible version available.

If you copy a 1st gen dvd to another dvd, then its still a 1st gen, cause it looses no quality in the transfer. the gens are anly relevant to VHS mate.

Also yeah source is pro/aud or if you can provide more details (what type of camera, what editing equipment was used, what converted etc etc) but pro/aud is usually sufficient.
