Mark Hughes is set to take the vacant manager's job at Blackburn - but will remain in charge of Wales for two more games, according to reports.
The 41-year-old will stay with Wales for their next two World Cup qualifiers before joining Blackburn full-time.

Hughes seemed to be out of the running, but comments from his agent Dennis Roach on Tuesday suggested otherwise.

"Mark feels that if a Premier League team came up he would want to take it," Roach told BBC Five Live.

Roach added: "The relationship with the Football Association of Wales (FAW) has been fantastic and I'm sure that would be continued.

I'm trying to cover the situation where Blackburn might be concerned that Mark isn't interested

"If it was agreed, I'm sure it wouldn't be an impossible situation for him to carry on for the last two games.

"Wales don't have any international matches until February which gives them plenty of time to find a replacement if it happens."

Roach insisted Blackburn had made no approach and that Hughes' appointment was not a foregone conclusion.

He said: "I thought Glenn Hoddle was going to be manager of Southampton a few months ago but that didn't happen.

"Mark has a contract with Wales which he fully respects.

"But I'm trying to cover the situation where Blackburn might be concerned that Mark isn't interested."

I have to seriously question the merits of Dowie but wouldn't say no to Hughes

Blackburn chief executive John Williams fuelled the rumours when he hinted their favoured candidate was currently in a job, telling BBC Radio Lancashire: "It's a delicate situation."

Wales face England at Old Trafford on 9 October, and host Poland at the Millennium Stadium four days later.
